For UMP Healthcare, Tsuen Wan is more than just a location. It is where our story began.
In 1971, when Hong Kong's private healthcare sector was still developing, many private practitioners chose to establish their practices in prime commercial districts. Our Group Founder and Chairman, Dr. Sun Yiu Kwong, took a different path. He chose to establish his first clinic in Tsuen Wan, then a growing new town in the New Territories, with a simple but powerful mission: to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to working families. This people-first philosophy has remained at the heart of UMP ever since.
Over the past few decades, UMP has grown into one of Hong Kong's leading healthcare networks. Today, we are proud to mark a new chapter in that journey with the grand opening of our newly relocated and upgraded UMP Medical Centre (Tsuen Wan).
We were delighted to celebrate this special occasion with members of our management team, including Group Chairman Dr. Sun Yiu Kwong, Vice Chairman and Co-CEO Dr. Michael Sun, Executive Director and Co-CEO Ms. Jacquen Kwok, and Executive Director Dr. Patrick Lee, together with our dedicated frontline clinic colleagues who serve the community every day.
Designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind, the new medical centre offers a more spacious and welcoming environment, together with an expanded range of services. In addition to General Practice, Specialist Services and Dental Care, Physiotherapy Services will soon be introduced to better meet the evolving healthcare needs of the Tsuen Wan community.
While society and the healthcare landscape have changed over the years, we have remained committed to our mission: putting patients first, pursuing clinical excellence, and serving as a trusted healthcare partner in the communities we serve every day.
