UMP Healthcare Holdings Limited ("UMP" or the "Group", Stock Code: 722.HK) is pleased to announce that UMP Healthcare Innov Centre (the “Centre”), established by the Group to support the development of advanced medical application technology and for medical experts to exchange scientific research knowledge and experience, was officially opened today (1st). The Centre is the first permanent medical technology centre in Hong Kong that dedicates to promoting advanced medical equipment, medical treatment solutions, and supports the development of related technologies.
The Centre is located on the 14th floor of the Central Wing On Group Building, Des Voeux Road, Central, covering an area of about 2,000 square feet. With the support of various advanced medical equipment industry players and medical technology developers, the Centre gathers advanced medical technology in different fields, including AI, IoT, rehabilitation & robotic technology, rapid detection technology, etc. (For relevant products and solutions, please refer to the appendix). With the expertise of the Group’s professional doctors and service data, the Centre is an industrial springboard that helps related R&D projects to be commercialised.
Explore New Forms of Future Medical Services
The Centre also features different scenarios of medical technology applications that cover clinic, remote and home consultations, as well as healthcare solutions for tomorrow. Looking ahead, the Group will establish a "15-minute healthcare service circle": more community medical centres will be lined up to provide personalised healthcare service at lower cost, of higher quality and convenience. The Centre will act as the leading hub, which explores more possibilities in healthcare technology applications for the Group and industry development, including conducting regular industry talks with medical professionals.

On the same day, UMP signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industries Association (the "Association"), which will serve as a professional partner of the Innov Centre and provide advice on the Innov Centre's life science products and start-up access. Martha Hao, Chairman of the Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industry Association, said, "By establishing the first Innovation Centre in Hong Kong, UMP is taking a hands-on approach to promote the development of the life science industry in Hong Kong. We are pleased to see the success of this initiative and will work with UMP to bring Hong Kong's promising life science products to the platform and to promote the medical profession, related industry players and investors.
