UMP recently joined the first cross-industry data community established by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP). UMP is one of nearly 30 participating companies in the community, which offers the opportunity to leverage de-identified data beyond UMP's operational scope to gain valuable market insights and explore more business growth opportunities. Other companies participating in the community include HSBC, FWD, and others. The community is overseen by the HKSTP Establishment Committee, which ensures ethical, legal, and compliance standards, as well as technology and information security.
Earlier, Horace Tang represented the company at the relevant event, where he shared the importance of cross-industry data and collaboration in driving business development. He also discussed how data can help gain a comprehensive understanding of customers' health needs and enhance the level of medical services.
